not only that..
i think its for 3 reasons.. 1) last time can u-turn, now cannot but
take away sign not clear enough so replace with a no u turn
sign
2) got no "can u-turn" sign but people still illegally u-turn end
up got traffic congestion or major accident or simply unsafe so to
wake up the driver that there is no u-turn allowed (emphasizing)
the sign is placed.
(basically u-turning not allowed without a u-turn sign but since u
dun listen act blur when got no sign so we put one sign here so u
got no excuse)
3) left turn on red scheme introduced, so either an old "can
u-turn" sign replace to no u-turn to facilitate this scheme or new
"no u-turn" sign placed to emphasize that uturning is not
allowed
oh and the zig zag lines thing.. single zig-zag line is demerit
points no parking at all times on that side of the road. double
yellow line is no parking at all times. once again, double yellow
replaced by single zig zag is cos double yellow is everywhere.. so
pple tend to be used to it until they ignore it.. ulu ulu road also
haf busy road also same so pple park anywhere.. but zig zag line
wake up the driver that this is REALLI no parking or else CONFIRM
got demerit and its more serious if u park here. (usually zig zag
at busy roads etc.)
